Seestar TH10 Precision Fluid Hydraulic Tripod Head
The Seestar TH10 Fluid Tripod Head is a professional hydraulic head meticulously engineered by ZWO to enable Equatorial (EQ) tracking mode for the Seestar S50 and S30 smart telescopes. Crafted from premium CNC-machined aluminum alloy, it offers ultra-smooth movements, high durability, and maximum stability for astrophotography and terrestrial photography.
Equipped with an ergonomic hydraulic fluid damping system, the TH10 makes precise polar alignment effortless. Despite its ultra-compact height of just 84 mm (3.31 in) and lightweight construction at 411 g (0.91 lb), this tripod head boasts an impressive payload capacity of 5 kg (11 lbs), making it fully capable of mounting smart telescopes, DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, and heavy telephoto lenses.
Key Advantages

Step-by-Step Installation Guide (Equatorial Mode)
Follow these steps to connect the Seestar TH10 tripod head to your Seestar smart telescope for Equatorial (EQ) mode operation:
- Setup & Level Tripod: Unfold the tripod legs, adjust them to the desired length, and lock firmly. Place on flat ground with one tripod leg pointing roughly True North (in Northern Hemisphere). Observe the built-in bubble level and adjust leg heights until the bubble is centered.
- Prepare Thread Adapter: Screw the 6.35 mm to 9.52 mm (1/4 in to 3/8 in) threaded adapter into the bottom mounting port of your Seestar device, tightening securely with a coin wrench.
- Attach Quick-Release Plate: Fasten the quick-release plate onto the bottom of the Seestar device using the adapter screw, ensuring tight alignment.
- Mount TH10 to Tripod: Screw the TH10 fluid head onto the tripod's 9.52 mm (3/8 in) top thread. Loosen the horizontal panning knob and align the dovetail groove pointing North (in line with the north-facing tripod leg), then lock the panning knob.
- Secure Seestar onto TH10: Slide the Seestar with quick-release plate into the TH10 dovetail clamp and tighten the side locking knob firmly.

Latitude Compatibility Notice:
When using the Seestar S50 mounted on the TH10 tripod head paired with the default TC20 carbon fiber tripod in Equatorial (EQ) mode, the telescope body may come into physical contact with the tripod legs at extreme tilt angles in geographical regions located below 15° Latitude. If you are operating near or below 15° latitude, using a taller third-party tripod or column extension is recommended.
