Help!  I updated the StellarMate software on my device.  The update appears to have succeeded and prompted for a reboot.

After rebooting, the StellarMate app (running on my iPad) can no longer access the device.

I can access the device via VNC and also via SSH ... just not via the app.

This is a StellarMate Pro 4G RAM/64GB storage.

cat /etc/os-release shows it is running Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)

I was previously getting an animation that looped forever ((asking the moon to move a little to the left, etc. etc.) but it never got in.

I did a settings -> reset -> reset app

I am now getting:

"This StellarMate device requires a password to connect.  Please log out and sign in with your username and password, or update your StellarMate to the latest version."

I should be on the latest version since doing the update is what started this issue.  I DO know the username & password (user = StellarMate but I do not use the default password).  How do I tell the app what username & password to use for this device (if that is the issue)?

I’ve updated the password (I don’t use the default password).  I’m not unable to join because I do not know the password.  I am not even prompted for a password.  It is simply unable to connect since the update.

I see that there StellarMate is now at v2.2.x.  I am on the 1.9.x release.

I am wondering if I need to purchase an upgrade to 2.x but I don’t even see how I would go about doing that.  I do see a way to purchase StellareMate OS … but unsure of how this would work on my StellarMate Pro because in the past it seems that this was separate download (likely pre-configured to have everything needed for the specialized hardware).

Hello Timothy,

try "smate" for password.

Greetings,
